My current work deals with themes I've covered in previous projects. I use the imagery of the caged bird as a symbol for one's desires being confined, either by self-limitations or those imposed upon us. The use of paper is a suggestion that these restraints aren't as definite as they seem, and that breaking free is possible if we try.
